💠 The Ledger Pass

The Ledger Pass is Tidebound's premium tier, and it costs nothing to the game: it comes from linking an active XRP Ledger account. You keep your XRP.

Never required

Every skill, item and progression path is open to free players. The pass adds slight boosts and some extras on top; it is never the only way to progress.

Who qualifies

An XRP Ledger account that exists and holds at least the current base reserve (1 XRP on mainnet today). The server reads the reserve live from the ledger, because validators can vote to change it.

• The pass is re-checked at most once an hour. If the account is emptied or deleted, the pass pauses.
• One XRPL account links to one profile, and a profile has one wallet.
• The game is on testnet for now: if your test account needs XRP, the Ledger section of the Profile tab offers a faucet button for free test XRP (testnet playtest).

Linking

Profile → Link wallet, pick a supported wallet and sign one transaction. It proves you own the account and, at the same time, opts you in to Tide Marks (TIDE):

Opting in needs the base reserve plus one owner reserve (1.2 XRP today); the game tells you the exact amount if you are short.

Perks

• Extended Tides: offline progress up to 24 hours instead of 8 (offline progress).
• Ledger areas: every skill gets +10% XP plus a small skill bonus, such as double output or saved materials (Ledger areas).
• Exclusive spots and recipes: a Ledger-only action in many skills, the Ledger Reef Passage route, the Glasseel Nursery, the Ledger Reef Depths zone and a 4th Reef contract on order boards. They make off-ladder Reef goods, which no free path needs.
• Lucky Currents: double odds for rare drops and finds (Tide Shards, gems and the like).
• On-ledger extras: mint Relics as NFTs, claim Ledger Badges, and receive TIDE rewards straight to your wallet. Free players' TIDE waits off-chain until they link.

The perks are deliberately slight.
