Offline progress β
Tidebound keeps playing while the game is closed. When you come back, the time you were away is simulated and a summary shows what you gained.
The offline cap β
| Player | Simulated while away |
|---|---|
| Free | up to 8 hours |
| Ledger Pass | up to 24 hours |
Time beyond the cap is not simulated. The numbers come from the game engine: offline cap.
What keeps running β
Everything runs on one game clock, so offline time covers it all, up to the cap:
- your main action or fight,
- expeditions at sea,
- Aquaculture plots growing,
- tonics running down and new Harbour Order boards being posted.
Offline play gives exactly the same results as watching the game, step by step.
Why an action stops β
- Out of materials: an artisan action stops when the inputs run out.
- Bank full: if a new common or uncommon item has no free slot, the action stops (bank). In combat, common loot is skipped instead.
- Defeated: a fight ends when your health reaches zero. Bring food.
Playing offline β
After you have signed in once on a device, you can open the game without a connection and play the copy saved on it. Your actions queue up and sync when you are back online. The server replays them on its own clock, so changing the device's clock gains nothing.
