Crews

A crew is a small group of players who build a ship and harbour together. Find it on the Events tab.

Joining

  • Found a crew once you reach total level 50: choose a name, a 2–4 letter tag, a colour and an emblem.
  • Join an open crew from the list, or accept an invitation. Crews can be open to anyone or invite only.
  • Ranks: the Captain runs the crew. Officers can invite and remove deckhands. Deckhands help build.
  • Leaving: after you leave a crew, you can't join another for 72 hours.
  • Inactive captains: if a captain doesn't play for 30 days, the longest-serving officer becomes captain.

The ship

Your hull sets how many crew you can have. Members donate materials from their bank to build the next one. Donations also give Trade XP.

Weekly goal

  • When: every week, Monday to Monday (UTC).
  • What: each crew gets a goal of three items, sized to the crew.
  • Rewards: completing it earns Crew Marks, which rank the Crews board in the Ranks tab. Everyone who donated also gets gold.
  • Size: the goal follows your crew's size until the first donation. After that it's fixed for the week.

Crew colours and tags

  • Tag: your crew's tag shows next to your name everywhere names appear.
  • Colour: you can also show your crew's colour as your name highlight. Choose it in Profile β†’ Name style.
  • No reserved colours: crew colours come from a fixed set kept well away from the colours that mean something else, like Supporter and Founder.
  • Filtering: names and tags are checked for offensive words. Staff can reset a name or disband a crew that breaks the rules.

Crews have no chat. Use the community Discord to talk with your crew.

Testnet

When the testnet playtest ends, every crew is disbanded, so crews start fresh at launch.

Game data pages are generated from the game’s own engine. Tidebound is in a testnet playtest; numbers may change.
